Arts Advocacy in Augusta, Georgia

The Greater Augusta Arts Council supports artists, arts organizations and the cultural community in a variety of ways. At times we act as advocates to bring awareness of the arts to local audiences and lawmakers. We also partner with statewide and national organizations to participate in cultural advocacy projects, such as surveys that explore the economic impact for the arts, letter writing campaigns, arts in education and more. Learn more about some of our current projects below.

The mission of the Greater Augusta Arts Council is to enrich the quality of life for citizens and visitors in

Augusta and the Central Savannah River Area by advancing a vibrant cultural arts agenda.
