All participants must contact and reach an agreement with a business owner who is willing to let him/her set up in front of their open, and operating, business on the evening of the First Friday event. Only those vendors producing their own arts and crafts will be accepted for participation along Broad Street. Failure to follow the policy listed above may result in termination of participation in First Friday events.
Please note: Due to limited spaces, inclusion in each month’s event is not guaranteed.
BROAD STREET VENDOR ELIGIBILITY
The City of Augusta holds its own First Friday in the Augusta Common. The Special Events Manager determines the fees for vendors located there. If you sell items that are not handcrafted and are interested in vending in the Common Area, please contact the Augusta Common Special Events Coordinator Yolanda Marshall (706-821-1754) to receive a First Friday vendor application.
First Friday is a family-friendly event; all content and conduct should reflect the “kid friendly” environment we have worked to create. Event participants shall not approach or harass event patrons with political or religious ideology and/or materials, or to solicit sales or donations. Use of profanity and sexually explicit or violent music/artwork/content, etc. is prohibited. All participating individuals and organizations must follow the established event guidelines. Participant spaces are limited. Submission of an application does not guarantee inclusion in First Friday. |
