The Friends of the Augusta Library (“Friends”) is pleased to announce the Friends’ 2017 Writing Contest.The winning entrant(s) will have their manuscript printed in an upcoming edition of the FOAL quarterly newsletter and on the Friends’ website.
“The South Arts Southern Prize and State Fellowships acknowledge, support and celebrate the highest quality artistic work being created in the American South.
“The Winston- Salem/Forsyth County (NC) Public Art Commission is seeking an artist or artist team to design artwork for a water tank in the city of Winston – Salem.
Roswell Arts Fund is creating a Local/Regional Registry of Pre-Qualified Public Art Mural Artists, in an effort to streamline the artist selection process for a range of upcoming mural projects in Roswell, GA.
“Le Chat Noir is seeking original scripts by local authors for our ninth annual short play festival. Performances are April 13, 14, 19, 20, and 21, at 8 pm. This showcase has become one of our most popular productions.”

Artist Application Open Now for Wet Paint 2018! Deadline Feb. 4
Artwork submissions are now open for the Wet Paint Party & Sale, an annual party presented by the Greater Augusta Arts Council. To be hosted Saturday, February 24, 7-10:30pm at the Sacred Heart Cultural Center, the party offers a platform for local artists to sell their recent work in a one-of-a-kind art auction.
The deadline to submit work for Wet Paint Party & Sale is February 4. Artists who are interested in submitting a piece of recent work to the auction can learn more by clicking this link. Early submissions will be included in promotional materials such as commercials and printed invitations (early deadline to be included: January 10).
Winter Art Sale on Display Now! Art from 14 local artists available
The 2nd annual Winter Art Sale is now hanging at the Municipal Building Gallery located at 535 Telfair St. All work is small scale and affordably priced (under $150), perfect for holiday gift giving.
