Hooked on Augusta, a group of local textile artists, is looking for volunteers who crochet or knit at any skill level to help create public art installations known as ‘yarnbombing’ for the downtown Augusta area. The tours for artists interested in applying for the Golden Blocks Project are scheduled for next week. Guided by the project’s artists mentors, the tours will familiarize artists with the Laney Walker/ Bethlehem community, where the Golden Blocks Project will be funding public art and creative placemaking.
