The 38th Annual Arts in the Heart of Augusta Festival, presented by the Greater Augusta Arts Council and the City of Augusta, announces that badges are now on sale for festival admission. Festival dates are September 14-16, badges on sale at artsintheheart.com, State Bank locations in Augusta, Vintage Ooollee in downtown Augusta, and New Moon in Aiken. Badges are $7 in advance, $12 day-of.
A new exhibition has just been placed on display in the City Gallery at the Municipal Building that features some familiar names – artists who are also employees of various departments of the City of Augusta. Artists featured include Aleigha Brigham, Thurnell EL, Angela Rice, Lea Rigdon, and Sandra Walther.
The Greater Augusta Arts Council announces the open application window for City Arts Grants for Fiscal Year 2019. Applications will be open to all arts-focused nonprofits based in Richmond County until August 2, 2018.
