Help the Arts Council put on the biggest art auction of the year and attend one of Augusta’s favorite art parties by volunteering at this year’s Wet Paint!
A staggering 87 artists will be featured at this year’s Wet Paint Party and Art Sale, hosted by the Greater Augusta Arts Council February 16, 2019. This record-breaking group of artists will each have a piece of original artwork for sale. The featured artists are listed here
The Greater Augusta Arts Council will host three information sessions for artists interested in applying for funds through the 2019 Porter Fleming Foundation Grants. The deadline for 2019 applications is February 1.
The Porter Fleming Foundation is once again accepting applications for their annual grant program. Individual artists and organizations residing in the CSRA are eligible to apply for funds. Counties included are Aiken (SC), Burke (GA), Columbia (GA), Edgefield (SC), and Richmond (GA). The deadline for applications is February 1. Click here for more information GRANT
Hooked on Augusta, a group of local textile artists, is looking for volunteers who crochet or knit at any skill level to help create public art installations known as ‘yarnbombing’ for the downtown Augusta area. They also seek donations of yarn from the community to defray costs of the installations. Sign up is online here.
