Augusta Arts Calendar Coordinator- Greater Augusta Arts Council
About this Job
The Greater Augusta Arts Council seeks a reliable, capable person to run the online Augusta Arts Calendar for the summer months May-August, 2018. We would need someone to come to the Arts Council office 10 hours a week. We would train the person to work with the WordPress internet content management platform to manage the calendar. Pay would be just above minimum wage at $7.50/hr. The position requires investment in the cultivation of the calendar as a community resource, and would add a marketable job skill to any resume at a minimal time commitment. Candidates will be required to check for errors and discrepancies without supervision, and to reach out to local arts groups and individuals to clarify calendar information.
Responsibilities include updating the online Augusta Arts Calendar by researching and entering events going on in the community related to the arts into our online calendar system, and assisting with occasional projects for the Arts Council as they arise. Must be able to work independently, as well as part of a team, and understand and perform written and oral instructions. An excellent candidate will have good phone and computer skills, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, social media platforms, email etiquette, and the ability to learn the use of computer applications quickly.
If interested in this summer position, send resume to Brenda Durant at email@example.com, or drop resume off in person at the Arts Council office at 1301 Greene Street.
