05 Jan Call for Artists: Jake Rusher Park Public Art Installation
VIA The City of Asheville Parks and Recreation Department: Together the City of Asheville Parks and Recreation Department and the Public Art and Cultural Commission (PACC) seek qualified artists to submit a statement of interest for consideration in creating a public art installation at the newly updated Jake Rusher Park in south Asheville. The Jake Rusher project is a part of the 2016 voter approved bond referendum to make improvements to the City of Asheville’s parks and recreation facilities. Park improvements include a new picnic shelter along with a basketball court, accessible sidewalks and lighting. Construction to update and renovate facilities at Jake Rusher Park is underway.
Eligibility: States of GA, MD, NC, SC, TN, VA
Budget: $40,000
DEADLINE: JANUARY 15, 2021 AT 5 PM
Submissions must be received no later than January 15th, 2021 at 5 PM and shall be electronically submitted to Susannah Horton, project manager for the City of Asheville Parks and Recreation Department. Electronic Submissions should be emailed directly to [email protected] and should be no larger than 20 MB.
