Spring Arts in the Augusta River Region

Spring has sprung and so have the arts in the Augusta River Region! You can find your art-filled, joyful experiences on the Greater Augusta Arts Calendar. Here you will find visual art exhibitions, dance performances, musical performances from local to internationally acclaimed artists, theatrical productions, spoken word, art courses and more!

One of the featured events on the Greater Augusta Arts Calendar is the Colton Ballet Company’s production of You’re Always on My Mind.  Happening April 22nd at 7:00 PM at the Imperial Theater in Downtown Augusta, GA, this event will be an exciting evening of music and dance! From the playful, evocative music of Erik Satie to the haunting beauty of Rachmoninoff’s “Vocalise” to the joyful fun of the Beatles, dance and music lovers will delight in this eclectic program.

Audience goers will also enjoy the gravity defying works using a large see saw to propel the dancers into the air. The evening’s surprise, a premiere by Caitlin McCormack, promises to be an memorable encounter with Sam Cooke favorites and the incomparable Billie Holiday.
