Joan Fishbein is a poet and writer local to the Augusta River Region. She received a BA in English from Vassar College and an MFA in poetry from Warren Wilson College. Her poetry has appeared in “Hope Street,” a chapbook anthology published by Main Street Rag, “The New Verse News, “The Frequency Anthology,” “The Origami Poems Project of Rhode Island, ” “The Southern Poetry Anthology: Volume One,””The Kennesaw Review,”, “The Devil’s Millhopper,” Helicon Nine,” “Poetica,” “The Reach of Song,” and other small literary magazines. She has also won First Place at the Second Annual Chattahoochee Valley Writers conference. Joan served as an Editorial Assistant on “Ingenue Magazine,” and an Assistant Beauty Editor on “Co-Ed” magazine.
