Dr. Roger Ideishi in the Lee Auditirium at AU | Creating Accessible Community

Join the Faculty Inclusive Excellence Initiative and the Dept. of Occupational Therapy in AU’s Lee Auditirium on Monday, Feb 27th at 5pm for visiting scholar, Dr. Roger Ideishi’s talk on accessibility in cultural arts and community spaces.

 

Dr. Ideishi has established a line of scholarship, service and advocacy that is centered upon increasing opportunities for inclusion of persons living with disabilities, particularly autistic individuals and those with intellectual disabilities, into the broader community. He has collaborated with a range of community and arts organizations that include The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, The Smithsonian Museums, Round House Theatre (Bethesda, MD), Pittsburgh Ballet, Walnut Street Theatre (Philadelphia, PA), Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs, Washington National Opera and the Philadelphia Zoo.
