Snow Queen Auditions Notice

SNOW QUEEN  Audition Notice Presented by: The Augusta Players ARTreach

Performances:
November 28th 9:30am, 11:30am, and 7pm
November 29th 9:30am and 11:30am
At The Miller Theater

Looking for performers of all types, ethnicities, shapes, sizes. Considering all ethnicities for all roles.

All roles are open.

General Auditions October 14th at 10:00 am and 12PM  at Jessye Norman School of the Arts. Please sign up for one of the two time slots using the link below.

Callbacks, if needed, will take place on October 15th.

In person auditions will consist of cold reading from the script. Audition material will be provided to auditionees upon their arrival of their alloted audition time.

Casting Breakdown:

Gerda- young girl 11-13 years old
Kai – young boy 11-13 years old. Gerda’s best friend.
Oma – Gerda’s kindly Grandmother 50-80 years old
Snow Queen- Female presenting 18-40 years old. The epitome of evil.
Kanoot- Male presenting 14-20 years old.  Simple minded blue troll.
Flora- Female presenting 20-50 years old. Knows magic!
Redbird- any gender, any age. Flora’s companion.
Zigornie- young girl 11-13 years old. A thief.
Reindeer- any gender, any age

Through gospel, R&B, smooth pop, disco and more, Dreamgirls explores themes of ambition, hope and betrayal, all set in the glamorous and competitive world of the entertainment industry.

Rock got no reason, rock got no rhyme… You better get me to school on time! Andrew Lloyd Webber’s School of Rock – The Musical is a two-hour, two-act show (plus intermission), based on the hit movie. The tuner follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn an extra bit of cash by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. There he turns a class of straight–A pupils into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band. But can he get them to the Battle of the Bands without their parents and the school’s headmistress finding out?

*Note: Dewey and the principal kids play instruments for this production. Instrumental experience preferred, willingness to learn required. The Augusta Players will provide lessons for the cast.
