ISO (In Search Of) Augusta

In Search Of is the City Gallery’s first ever photography exhibition. It features local views as shot by Augusta’s River Region photographers. In this showcase, it was Gallery Director and Artist Heather Dunaway’s goal to share snapshots of all that Augusta’s River Region is. From its beautiful landscapes and nature scenes to architecture and urban living to even its people. In Search Of or ISO is a play on camera-speak. ISO stands for “International Organization for Standardization” which is an operation function that helps photographers adjust their camera’s sensitivity to light.

Photographers selected to display their work in this exhibition were discovered through an open call for art hosted by the Greater Augusta Arts Council, who, in partnership with the City of Augusta, manages the City Gallery. Artists range from emerging to established photographers.

Selected artists include Brandon Bentley, Matthew Bouyea, Fox Si-Long Chen, Amy Crawford, Carol Cross, Heather René Dunaway, James Ferguson, Ralph Gaines, Jai Gillish, Haliegh Key, Mary Kruckow , T.J. McSherry, Seth Prior, Amethyst Robinson, Katherine Schiller (cover art), Hillary Williamson and Sandy Zanko.

A lunchtime reception will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 11:0 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
