Arts Council to Celebrate GA Gives Day 2016

The Greater Augusta Arts Council is proud to announce their participation in this year?s Georgia Gives Day on Thursday, November 17, 2016. Georgia Gives Day is an annual day of charitable giving that empowers non-profits to fundraise in a concentrated 24-hour period, and to gain new donors, volunteers and awareness of their organization. Donations to the Arts Council during Georgia Gives Day will support the Council?s general programs and events. These include: Programming the Arts in the Heart of Augusta Festival, administering the Public Art Master Plan on behalf of the City of Augusta, hosting the Business of Being an Artist workshop series, promoting arts and cultural events through the Augusta Arts Calendar and Arts Weekly and advocating for the arts on both a local and regional level.

In addition to the Arts Council, several Augusta organizations will be participating in this year?s Georgia Gives Day. The Arts-based organizations who are fundraising in this year?s events are listed below
