19 May Art Now Artist Talk: Justin Guy, Master Potter at Old Edgefield Pottery
Justin Guy, a craftsman of Old Edgefield–style vessels and a recipient of the 2022 South Carolina Arts Commission’s Folk Heritage Award, will discuss the history of the technique and the significance of potters Abner Landrum, David Drake, and Stephen Ferrell. Afterwards, Guy will identify and authenticate your Old Edgefield pottery (limit of two pieces per person). A reception follows.
