23 Jul “Georgia Clay” Call for Clay Based Arts in the Augusta & CO. Gallery
Georgia Clay celebrates the rich tradition of ceramics in Augusta’s River Region, where Georgia’s abundant clay deposits have shaped the area’s history, industry, and creative legacy for generations. This open call invites CSRA-based ceramic artists to showcase contemporary works that honor the versatility and beauty of clay while highlighting the talent of our local makers.
Designed as a holiday gift exhibition, all artwork must be priced at $200 or less, making original, handcrafted art accessible to shoppers throughout the gift-giving season. Eligible works may be wall-mounted (using a French cleat or wire) or free-standing, provided they fit within a 12″ x 12″ footprint. Whether functional, sculptural, or decorative, Georgia Clay celebrates the enduring connection between our region and one of its most iconic natural resources.
Local area artists are encouraged to submit up to four finished artwork that reflects the above themes to be displayed in the Augusta & Co. Gallery from October 1, 2026 – January 7, 2027 with a reception on November 6, 2027 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Works must utilize clay. Including but not limited to ceramics, pottery, sculpture, Jewelry, Mosaics, and Mixed Media.

Selected artists will be notified in the first week of September.
