16 Oct Arts Council to Host Arts Day Luncheon Thursday, November 8
Renamed “Legislative Luncheon” to focus on public art progress in the CSRA and arts advocacy efforts across the state
The Arts Council’s Legislative Luncheon is getting an update with a new name – “Arts Day Luncheon.” This annual event will be rededicated to providing insights into the arts in Augusta from city leaders to the public, as well as participants of Leadership Augusta’s Arts Day. This year’s event, to be held Thursday, November 8 11:30-1pm, will feature speakers who will share updates about public art in the CSRA.
While much of the work for public art is accomplished behind the scenes, the Arts Day Luncheon speakers will shine a light on projects that are currently underway, and new work that is to come to the Augusta River Region. Elected Officials are also invited to share brief remarks in response at the end of the program.
