Mad Potters Organization Pop-up Ceramics Sale at the City Gallery tomorrow & Friday!
The Mad Potters Organization will be hosting a pop-up ceramics sale tomorrow and Friday (March 21 & 22) at the City Gallery, 9am-4pm!
Come see and buy pottery from Augusta University’s ceramics students. They will have unique handmade works for sale – perfect for gifts or decorating your home!
The City Gallery is located in the Augusta Municipal Building at 535 Telfair Street.

Introducing Ashley McDaniel, the newest intern to join the Greater Augusta Arts Council Team!
Ashley McDaniel, a student at Augusta University majoring in Fine Arts and minoring in Computer Science, has joined the Greater Augusta Arts Council as our Gallery Intern, assisting with programming and scheduling the gallery programs of the Arts Council. We currently program two spaces – the City Gallery at the Municipal Building, and the Augusta & Co Gallery at 1010 Broad St. We are very happy to have Ashley on our team!

Performers: Application Info Session for Arts in the Heart 2019, Tuesday 3-26
Attend this workshop to find out how to apply to perform on a stage at the 2019 Arts in the Heart of Augusta Festival.
The Panel will discuss how to prepare to fill in the performer application for the Arts in the Heart of Augusta stages, best practices, the application process, performer social media and photos. Bring any questions you may have and be prepared to take some notes!

The City Gallery at the Augusta Richmond County Municipal Building is now featuring its first show by a solo artist!
Based in Skidaway Island, Georgia, artist Randy Akers creates abstract works in mixed media inspired by Southeastern landscapes and history. You can view the works available for sale at the City Gallery between 8:30-5pm at 535 Telfair St., or online anytime at the link below.

VISUAL ARTISTS: Applications are open now for the 2019 Arts in the Heart of Augusta Fine Arts and Crafts Market! Apply to participate in a Sunshine Artist’s top-60 rated event, right in the heart of downtown Augusta!
This year’s Arts in the Heart of Augusta will take place September 20-22.
The applications for the Fine Arts and Crafts Market close May 10.

Artists at the Community Table, hosted by Americans for the Arts – April 26 8-5pm
Join us on April 26 for one-day workshop hosted by the Americans for the Arts Local Arts Advancement Program Manager as we look at what arts-based community development is and learn how artists and arts organizations can use their voices to build up the communities they are a part of. This workshop will include case studies, creative group exercises, and highlight the work of artists in our local community already engaging in this work. Come away feeling reinvigorated and ready to make change!
