Hooked On Augusta needs volunteers for yarn art installation, April 27
Help bring a magical “Enchanted Forest” themed public art installation to life!
Hooked on Augusta, the volunteer group of crochet and knit artists needs a couple of extra hands for their install day, Saturday, April 27.
They are seeking volunteers for a variety of tasks, especially those who are comfortable getting up and down on ladders and assisting answer questions throughout the day.

The Greater Augusta Arts Council invites you to an exciting workshop that will share the importance of the arts in our city’s growth hosted by ArtsU by Americans for the Arts, the nation’s largest educational forum for arts professionals.

-Learn how to connect with city leaders in order to add your creative voice to discussions about Community Development in Augusta.

-Grow your creative network by meeting and learning from fellow Augusta-based artists.
-Touch base with the national arts scene – speakers will share a national view of art in community development efforts as well as examples from similar cities.
This will be a FREE workshop led by ArtsU by Americans for the Arts – with featured Augusta-based artists as speakers.

Public Art at Hillside Park – Applications open, deadline May 1
The Harrisburg Neighborhood residents who live near Hillside Park, located at 2101 Telfair Street are seeking to spark positive community change through art at their beloved neighborhood park. Artists can submit concepts to enhance the park with public art.
The call for artists will close May 1 at 10am.

Westobou information sessions for “Idea Generated Projects” grant applicants, April 18 & 25
Via Westobou.com – “Westobou is seeking proposals for three different projects (listed below). Individuals, groups and organizations are invited to submit proposals to one or more of these projects. Those chosen will be sponsored up to $1,000 (per project) to implement the project during Westobou Festival, October 2-6, 2019. Selected projects will be promoted and documented by Westobou. If selected, money will be distributed prior to the Festival to allow sufficient time for preparation/completion.
Info Sessions: Join the Westobou team for info sessions about the idea generated projects and let us tell you how to amplify your application. We will answer all of your questions at info sessions on April 18 and 25, 2019 at 6 p.m. at Westobou Gallery, 1129 Broad Street, Augusta, GA. Application Deadline: May 15

Performer, Fine Arts and Crafts Market Applications open for Arts in the Heart of Augusta
PERFORMERS: Apply to perform on one of 5 stages at this year’s Arts in the Heart of Augusta Festival. All family-friendly performance types are welcome to apply. Deadline for performance applications is June 1.
VISUAL ARTISTS: Applications are open now for the 2019 Arts in the Heart of Augusta Fine Arts and Crafts Market! Apply to participate in a Sunshine Artist’s top-60 rated event, right in the heart of downtown Augusta!
This year’s Arts in the Heart of Augusta will take place September 20-22.
