Tomorrow – Jessye Norman School of the Arts dedicates newest “Painted Piano” by artist Jason Craig in front of Book Tavern

via JNSA – “On August 22nd at 12 PM, as part of JNSA’s Public Piano Project, a new public piano will be installed in front of the Book Tavern. The Public Piano Project intends to bring music, performance, and play to the streets of Augusta.”
Join as us we attend this dedication for Augusta’s newest Public Art installation! The Jessye Norman School of the Arts will dedicate the piano, painted by artist Jason Craig, at 12pm tomorrow, August 22, at the Book Tavern – 936 Broad Street, Augusta GA.
New Workshop for artists added to Aspirations series, Thursday, August 30 – “Local Music Scene: Effective Promotion”
A new workshop for artists has been added to the Summer Aspirations Series! In partnership with Garden City Jazz, the Greater Augusta Arts Council will host “Local Live Music Scene: Effective Promotions” at the Augusta Library Main Headquarters Thursday, August 30. Open to artists of all disciplines, this free workshop will be full of helpful information on networking and promoting your work, and you’ll hear from top local producers and performers.
