Don’t miss the 2021 WetPaint Party and Art Sale on Saturday, February 27, 2021. Digital Doors open at 8pm and this virtual event is free to everyone with special perks for Arts Council members. As always, it’s going to be the Art Party of the year. Once you’ve grabbed your 2nd City Bourbon for the Party’s signature drink and a to-go meal from your favorite local restaurant you’ll be ready to come party with the Greater Augusta Arts Council!

This year the WetPaint Party remembers and celebrates one of Augusta’s great artists, Philip Morsberger, with a special tribute. The party includes an online art auction with more than 50 local artists participating including local art darlings like Betsy Moretz, Kay Edenfield, Erica Pastecki, Christina Rice, and CSRA Photography.

Just because this year’s event is only online doesn’t mean we miss out on the event’s trademark modeling talents!  Models working with Vintage Ooollee are planning to show off their favorite “pandemic Haute Couture.” Attendees will also get to enjoy special surprise music performances in addition to the lavish talents of emcees “The Empress of Cool” and “Black Pavarotti.”

In addition to musical performances the Arts Council will also hear from participating artists for interviews and studio tours along with a plan to crash more than a few WetPaint house parties. We’ll also feature some pre-pandemic WetPaint party flashbacks. Make plans to purchase a bottle of Second City Distillery bourbon to mix the pandemic-appropriate signature drink “The Cure.” Mixing demonstrations and “The Cure” recipe will be shared leading up to February 27th.

Through it all there will be the exciting chances to bid on over 70 pieces of new art and a raffle for local restaurant gift certificates. The art auction link will go live on Monday, February 22nd in advance of the WetPaint Party.  All information, including live party and auction links can be found at HERE and those interested in bidding in pieces in the auction can find the catalog at this link

Party information will also be posted on the Arts Council social media platforms, on the website and sent out via email in advance of the party.
