THIRD THURSDAY
Every month on third Thursday Downtown North Augusta comes alive with unique experiences and opportunities to engage with local shops and restaurants. Each month offers a new theme and new ways to get involved. The community is invited to visit all participating businesses using the vintage trolley.
EVENT DESCRIPTION
June’s spring themed Third Thursday event will include a Chalk Walk featuring local artists alongside downtown merchants. Artists will be paired with businesses and the size of your “concrete canvas” will vary from a standard size sidewalk square to larger, less restricted space. Artists can begin working on their chalk art at 3 pm and need to be finished by 7 pm. North Augusta Forward will supply each artist with chalk. The chalk will be available at the business you are paired with. The Arts and Culture Committee will jury chalk art starting at 7 pm and awards will be announced by 7:45 pm. If selected, you will have the opportunity to set up a table to display your art for purchase (you would be responsible for all supplies to set up i.e., table, chair, linen).

3. In addition to the chalk art, if you plan to display/sell your artwork, please list and give a detailed description of items you wish to sell. Images of your artwork must be submitted.
HOW TO APPLY
Artists can apply by completing the form linked below.
SELECTION PROCESS
North Augusta Forwards Arts + Culture Committee will select 10 to 15 applicants to create a chalk art display on Third Thursday, June 20th. If selected, you will be notified by June 12, 2023 and given further instruction.
DETAILS and PARAMETERS
• Ten-Fifteen (10-15) artists will be selected to participate
• Depending upon the business you are paired with, the size of the area for your art will vary from a standard sidewalk square size to larger.
• Work can begin on June 20th at 3 pm and must be complete by 7 pm.
• The jury will review completed chalk art starting at 7 pm and awards will be announced by 7:45 pm.
• If selected and you plan to display/sell your art, you must be self-contained, and provide your own electricity and water source. Artists will be responsible for the cleanup of their designated area, including ground debris. Artists will be responsible for any tables, chairs or tents (with weights) needed for their display.
• Please list and give a detailed description of items you wish to sell. Please attach a picture or submit an example of your work.
