29 May Apply to host the GCA Traveling Exhibition from the State Art Collection
Georgia Council for the Arts is pleased to announce, for the first time in ten years, a curated traveling exhibition of works from Georgia’s State Art Collection will be available to rural and small communities in the state. Ten communities will be selected to host the exhibit, and the exhibit will hang for six weeks in each community. In each of the selected locations, the exhibit will be paired with work from that community’s local and regional artists. There will be no charge for venues to host this exhibition, and each venue will receive a $7,000 award to help market the exhibit and support community activities.
Communities interested in hosting the exhibit should read the guidelines posted below and submit an application via the link in the guidelines. Applications must be submitted by June 28, 2024. Questions should be directed to Kenny Oaster, Visual Arts Manager, at [email protected].
