Between Two Banks – Call for Water Themed Art

Thank you for your interest in showing your work in the Augusta & Co. Gallery! We love to support artists who are local to Augusta’s River Region by working with Augusta & Co. to provide a space for them to exhibit their works to be seen by visitors and residents alike.

About “Between Two Banks”
The Greater Augusta Arts Council invites local artists to submit works for a group exhibition celebrating the Savannah River and the transformative power of water. This showcase will explore water as a source of life, inspiration, movement, and reflection through diverse artistic lenses.

Artists are encouraged to submit pieces inspired by the Savannah River, its ecosystems, communities, history, or the metaphorical and emotional power of water. All mediums, including painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics, mixed media, and digital, are welcome.

Submitted works can be current, completed or proposed works to be finished before installation. Artists can submit up to three artworks each. Submission is free.

Artists must reside in Augusta’s River Region. In Georgia, the counties are: Burke, Columbia, Glascock, Hancock, Jefferson, Jenkins, Lincoln, McDuffie, Richmond, Taliaferro, Warren, Washington, and Wilkes. In South Carolina, the counties are: Aiken, Edgefield, Allendale, Barnwell, and McCormick.

Deadline to submit work(s): Friday, December 5, 2025 by 11:59 p.m.

The exhibition will be on view from Jan 8, 2026 – March 26, 2026. With a reception date Friday, February 6, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

All selected works must be wired and ready to hang by Thursday, January 8th at 10:00 a.m. Early drop off will be permitted to Augusta & Co. during their business hours between Monday, January 5 – Wednesday, January 7th.

The Augusta & Co. Gallery operates with a 60% Artist / 40% Commission split of all works sold. If featured in the Augusta & Co. online shop, a 70% artist / 30% Commission split for all online sales.

If works are sold, the buyer will have the option to take the piece with them upon purchase or have the staff mark it as sold. Unsold works must be collected at the close of the show.

The Augusta & Co. Gallery operates on a quarterly pay processing system. Artists who have sold work through the Augusta & Co. Gallery should expect checks at the close of each quarter.

We encourage all artists interested in showing in the Augusta & Co. gallery to visit prior to submitting to get a sense of the space and the type of works that are typically shown.
