VIA The Seattle Artist League: The first annual Seattle Artist League Portrait Contest is aimed at encouraging artists to focus on and develop the theme of portraiture in their work. The competition is open to everyone aged sixteen and over, in recognition of the outstanding and innovative work in drawing, painting, printmaking, and mixed media.

Artists are encouraged to submit up to three 2D artworks of any media. Artwork must be original; no copies of other artist’s work. Artists are invited to submit digital images of their original work – even if it is sold, not for sale, or not available to be shown in person. A selection of online entries will be published on our website.

Prizes
1st Prize: $1,000 cash
2nd Prize: $500 SAL Gift Certificate
3rd Prize: $300 SAL Gift Certificate
Honorable Mentions: $100 SAL Gift Certificate
