Up to $25,000 for design; up to $175,000 for fabrication and installation of approved design (excluding the foundation). Application Deadline: July 1, 2025, 3 pm (Arizona Time)

The City of Flagstaff (AZ) seeks Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) for an artist to work with a design team to create a landmark 3D artwork within a roundabout at the intersection of N. Switzer Canyon Drive and N. Turquoise Drive. Direction for the public art is to successfully contextualize the 3D artwork within a hardscape that accommodates traffic safety signage and sightlines; to create a site specific icon that can be appreciated by drive-by traffic; to determine the 3D artwork through engaging with the community; researching the site location and artistic inspiration; to create, fabricate and install 3D artwork within budget; and to create a 3D artwork that is durable to the elements, requires minimal maintenance, meets safety requirements, and deters graffiti.
