Job description
Wine & Design® , a leader in the paint-and-sip industry, is excited to need some fun, charismatic independent art instructors for our new studio in Augusta, GA!!! Our studio, will provide a fun environment where our customer can be creative, socialize and have fun. Our classes are geared towards someone who has never painted before; therefore we are “light ” on the instruction. At the end of the two or three hour class, they will take home their “masterpiece” and have had a fun entertaining evening! Wine and Design® makes it easy, the painter make it their own. We are looking for artistically inclined instructors who can transfer their knowledge to our customers.
Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Facilitate a casual and relaxed art experience
· Guide an audience through an acrylic painting class
· Create & develop paintings to be taught, with additional compensation if they are used in the class.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Working knowledge and a good grasp of acrylic painting, color theory and different painting techniques
· Good communication skills
· Good social and interpersonal skills
Preferred Education/Experience:
· Prior experience teaching art to adults and children is beneficial, but not required
· Customer service experience
Required Experience:
· Painting Experience: 2 years
· Some experience leading a group of people (classroom or otherwise)
This is not a traditional art class this is FUN ART not FINE ART! The Wine and Design way makes it easy. The Guest make it their own.
Each art session will require around 4 hours of commitment, which includes prep, teaching and clean up.
