The Department of Music at Augusta University seeks a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Music who specializes in Music Industry and Commercial Music. Appointment to begin in August 2022. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate music industry courses as needed, design and implementation of a new music industry/commercial music bachelor’s degree, curriculum planning, assessment, and new course development. The successful candidate will demonstrate experience and connections in global music industries, music administration, entrepreneurship, management, marketing, copyright law and tour promotion. The successful candidate will maintain a robust record of research, scholarship, and/or creative activity.
