01 Feb National League of Cities Open Call for Art | Due Feb 5, 2024
The National League of Cities (NLC), one of Americans for the Arts national partners, as part of its 100th Anniversary celebration, is looking to work with an artist to commission a custom art piece that celebrates the successes of cities, towns, and villages for the last century. The piece would celebrate communities of all sizes, with the ability to be replicated as a print poster (24” x 18” – horizontal or landscape) with NLC branding added at the bottom. The prints of the piece will hang in City Halls across the country. An honorarium of $5,000 is available as the starting point for compensation given the very quick turnaround time of this request to the artist who is available and interested in partnering with NLC for this opportunity. The target date to deliver the piece is the end of February 2024. NLC requests the ability to react to an initial concept before the piece is begun in earnest.
