Hide and Seek Open Call for Artworks
The Morris Museum of Art Teen Council is accepting submissions for an exhibition of teen artwork at Westobou Gallery in downtown Augusta. The show aims to focus on these key ideas: What are you hiding from? What are you looking for? Participants may interpret and explore what identity means to them. Consider reflecting on who you are becoming, the experiences you have gone through, and any qualities that define you.
Artwork in any medium and size will be considered, but all works must be created within your high school years.
Deadline to submit: September 15th, 2022. Selected artists will be notified via email by October 1.
The Morris Museum Teen Council is a free public program for students aged 14-17. Since April 2022, participants have been meeting to discuss curating strategies and attend talks with gallerists, artists, and art writers. In partnership with Westobou Gallery, the program culminates in November 2022 with a group-curated exhibition of teen artwork.
