Full-time position: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (40 hrs / week)

Salary based on experience ($29,000 – $32,000)

 

The Greater Augusta Arts Council is seeking an organized, dynamic, professional and upbeat Admin & Membership Coordinator with a passion for the arts and Augusta. It is the mission of the Arts Council to enrich the quality of life for citizens and visitors by advancing vibrant cultural arts. We do so through programing events such as the Arts in the Heart of Augusta Festival, WetPaint Party, Annual Arts Awards, art exhibitions in our two galleries, and more. We are in search of a team member to bring their own creativity to the table. This position offers a fantastic blend of administrative duties, event coordination, and the opportunity to engage with our vibrant arts community.

 

 

Position Overview:

The Administrator & Membership Coordinator provides essential support while taking a lead role in managing memberships. They will also play a role in coordinating and executing our events, assisting with grant management and act as volunteer coordinator for the Arts in the Heart of Augusta Festival and special arts events. This position will have some weekends and nights required. All employees must be available to work the entirety of the Arts in the Heart of Augusta Festival weekend.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative:
    • Serve as the friendly face of our organization, answer phones, greet visitors, and provide top-notch customer service.
    • Manage general office tasks such as correspondence, scheduling, filing, and maintaining office supplies.
    • Utilize your proficiency in MS Office applications to create documents, reports, and presentations with flair and precision.
    • Work closely with our accounting department and audit teams.
    • Manage and track sponsorships for all events.
  • Membership Management:
    • Oversee our membership program (Little Green Light), including processing applications, annotating profiles and maintaining accurate records in our database.
    • Engage with current and prospective members, providing exceptional support and fostering strong relationships.
  • Event Coordination and Support:
    • Assist our team in executing our signature events, including Arts in the Heart of Augusta, Wet Paint, Private View, Annual Awards, and Gallery Exhibits.
    • Assist in event logistics, coordination, marketing efforts, and on-site event assistance to ensure a seamless and memorable experience.
    • Infuse each event with your passion for the arts, creativity, and attention to detail to create magical moments for attendees.
    • Act as volunteer coordinator for the Arts in the Heart of Augusta Festival and special arts events.

 

  • Grant Management and Development:
    • Take advantage of opportunities to attend grant writing classes and workshops to enhance your skills and contribute to our grant acquisition efforts.
    • Assist in managing small grants, from application to reporting, ensuring compliance and timely submissions.
    • Provide approved copy and background information for grant writing consultants, partners and organizations.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High School Education or GED, College preferred
  • Cheerful and Engaging: As Admin, this role involves a lot of public interaction. This role must be filled with someone who is outgoing, engaging, and upbeat.
  • Passionate about the Arts: A deep love for the arts and a genuine excitement for promoting creativity and cultural experiences.
  • Event Experience: Experience in event planning and coordination, with a knack for creating memorable and engaging experiences.
  • Organized: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks with ease.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient in MS Office applications, with a willingness to learn new software systems, including membership management tools.
