Sand Hills Submissions Open!

Sand Hills Submissions Open!

Sand Hills Literary Magazine seeks to publish the finest drama, poetry, prose (creative nonfiction and fiction), and visual art created by individuals currently residing in the United States. All general submissions are read blind by the Sand Hills staff to ensure an equitable and unbiased review process focused solely on the quality of the work.

In addition to general submissions, National and Student Prize Contests are offered annually. The national contest is judged by distinguished contemporary writers, and the student contest is judged by the Sand Hills staff.

Simultaneous submissions are accepted; however, previously published work is not eligible for consideration. This includes self-published material appearing in print or online, including personal blogs, social media platforms, or websites. Visual art may be considered even if previously shared on personal social media or websites. If work is accepted elsewhere, it must be withdrawn from Sand Hills promptly.

Genre-specific submission guidelines are available below. Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in disqualification. Questions regarding the magazine may be directed to sandhillslitmagau@gmail.com.

Due March 30th!
