Westobou Call for Curator
Westobou is seeking applications for a guest curator to work with emerging and experimental artists to conceptualize an exhibition at Westobou Gallery from June through August of 2025. An outside curator allows for different perspectives and introduces the community to new artists and ideas. The selected curator will be paid for their time, research and work related to the exhibition including a 500 word essay about the exhibition. Submissions are due on March 8, 2024 and selected curator will be notified in May 2024.
Curator Stipend – $1,500
Artist Stipend – $1,500 (can be split with up to 6 artists)
Sold Work Commission – 60% to artist, 10% to curator, 30% to Westobou
Shipping + Accommodations Budget – $1,700
Westobou covers gallery photography, print materials, catering for opening, and installation.
