Winter Art Showcase 2025 – OPEN CALL FOR ART

Thank you for your interest in showing artwork in the annual Winter Art Showcase! This exhibition is organized to showcase locally made artworks with holiday gift giving in mind. All works are priced to sell at $200.00 or less!

This year’s showcase will be featured in the City Gallery, which is in the lobby of the Augusta Richmond County Municipal Building The Annual Winter Art Showcase will be on display from October 16 – Jan 15, 2025 with a lunchtime reception Friday, November 7th from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

This application closes on Monday, September 22, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. Selected participants will be notified by no later than Friday, September 26, by 5:00 p.m.

Artists may submit up to 4 works for consideration. There are no fees to submit.

All selected artworks will be due to the gallery on Thursday, October 16th between 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Due to the sheer volume of work included in this showcase, early drop off will not be available.  If an artist is unable to drop off to the gallery on hang day, they should plan to have a trusted friend or family member deliver their work.

The Greater Augusta Arts Council, along with Gallery Director Heather Dunaway, curates this visual art gallery in partnership with the City of Augusta. They do so with a goal to support local artists by showcasing their artworks in a high traffic location for locals, city officials, and visitors alike to better understand the vibrant arts we have in Augusta’s River Region.

Submissions can be new or older works. Works DO NOT need to be Winter or Holiday themed. We encourage artists to submit pieces of all 2D mediums. If 3D, work will need to be wall hangable or fit within a 12’x12′ square. Only a select few 3D works can fit within this gallery space.
