26 Aug 3rd Annual AbstrACTION Art Show
On September 6, from 6-8PM, the Third Annual AbstrAction Art Show will be held at APMU Studios in downtown Augusta. Come check out the prompted artwork that has been created within the past year by 27 local artists! Snacks and drinks will be provided, live music, as well as live painting by Artzilla!
AbstrAction Art Group was formed in 2021 by Tiphiknee De Herrera and Alex Foltz, when they sought a new way to stimulate original creativity – utilizing prompts, deadlines, and friendly competition between one another. Today, AbstrAction Art Group has over 250 members on their private Facebook group page, and anyone is welcome to join!
Our group is inclusive, and thrives on helping any level of artist take more ACTION in creating more original artwork. We utilize prompts, and every six weeks we have a live meetup (virtual attendance is also permitted) to share the artwork we’ve made from the previous prompts. The next set of prompts are also chosen during the meetings.
