Join local artist Heather René Dunaway and the Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art for an artist’s talk and reception for Dunaway’s her upcoming show in the Creel-Harison Gallery titled Fix Yourself a Plate on Friday, August 16, 2024 from 5-7pm.
Artist talk beginning at 6:00 pm
Fix Yourself a Plate is a solo exhibition by Dunaway that explores her southern inheritance, generational trauma and the affects they have on mother-daughter relationships as well as mental health issues, including disordered eating.

Fix Yourself a Plate will be on view August 1 – October 21.
Gallery hours are M-F 10am-5pm
