The Artist Guild of Columbia County was founded in 2004 as a non-for-profit all volunteer arts organization located in Evans Ga. It was initially launched by Columbia County Arts.

Members of the art guild are preprofessional and amateur artists, arts educators, art enthusiasts, art students and patrons of the visual arts from all over the CSRA.

The Guild’s artist members work in a variety of media including acrylics, ceramics, charcoal, collage, fiber arts, glass, graphics, jewelry, metal art, oil, pastel, pen & ink, photography, pottery, sculpture and watercolor.

They provide opportunities for artists to exchange creative ideas, business information, projects of interest to the artist as well as those interested in the visual arts. Classes and workshops are available to the general public for all ages. Art works from the members are displayed at different venues across the CSRA and are changed monthly and quarterly at some locations. They have partnered with businesses and other organizations to present demonstrations of different art forms. A scholarship fund was established years ago and awards $1000 to an art student at Augusta University. The fund also benefits the community by offsetting the cost of programs and workshops.

This year the Guild is celebrating 20 years as nonprofit all volunteer visual art organization in Columbia County. For more information on the Artist Guild of Columbia County, visit their website at https://artistguildcc.org  .
