Responsibilities:

The Administration Manager (A.M.) for the Greater Augusta Arts Council manages the daily office operations of the organization. A.M.  coordinates and implements programs such as the City Arts Grants, Galleries, Membership, and AV Lending Library; and annual events such as Arts in the Heart of Augusta, Arts Day Luncheon, Arts Awards, and the Wet Paint Party and Art Sale. A.M.  provides printed and digital support materials for meetings & presentations. The administration manager works with the Arts Council’s marketing firm to promote the programs and events of the organization, which could include – providing information for press releases, photography, writing content for newsletters and social media posts, tracking and providing statistical reports, podcast uploads, google analytics, and tracking membership. A.M. leads teams of volunteers to help manage events and provide assistance with office tasks. Acts as liaison with local artists and arts organizations.

Skills needed:
  • Excellent communicator in both email and interpersonal interactions
  • Comfortable with technology and able to familiarize themselves with new software quickly
  • Fluent in all Social Media and comfortable with website updates (willing to learn basics)

Experience required:
  • 2-3 years’ experience in administration, public relations, or customer service
  • Some college or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledgeable about arts & culture in the Augusta River Region
