Today is Giving Tuesday, a movement started in response to trends like “Black Friday,” and, “Cyber Monday.” It’s a movement meant to allow us a moment to give back to organizations who have made a difference in our lives. The Arts Council works hard to benefit the lives of people in our community through art, whether it is the artists themselves, arts appreciators, organizations who create art for the public, arts educators, and even those who don’t recognize its impact in their lives (yet!).

We do this through a variety of programs and events we hold throughout the year. But we know Augusta’s arts lovers who attend Arts Council events like Arts in the Heart and the Wet Paint Party aren’t just showing up for one night. You go to concerts, gallery openings, festivals and other events, experiencing all this art-filled Town has to offer– all year.

That’s why we don’t think supporting the arts can be limited to just one day or month. You can support locally whenever you want. So we’ve made a list of local arts nonprofits who are participating in today’s #GivingTuesday on, Click here to view, and we also have a full listing of member organizations you can get involved with anytime at, click here to view member organizations.

Your support of the Arts Council is also a way to support the arts as a whole in Augusta. With the help of our members, event attendees, donors, city partners, and sponsors, we are able to amplify the arts voices in our community. Consider adding your donation to today’s “Giving Tuesday” campaign to help us continue on our mission of advancing vibrant cultural arts in Augusta. Follow the link below to add your contribution.
