Public art transforms shared spaces into vibrant reflections of a community’s identity, fostering pride and unity. Murals, sculptures, and installations not only beautify but also tell stories, celebrate culture, and spark conversations.

In Augusta, Georgia, the Promenade & Paint | Augusta’s Public Art Experience exemplifies this impact. Organized by the Greater Augusta Arts Council in partnership with Destination Augusta as part of the Authentic Augusta program, this immersive tour combines a guided walk through downtown’s public art sites with a hands-on mural-making session with a local artist. Participants learn about local artworks, engage with creatives, and contribute to a mural that will be displayed in the heart of the city.
