In celebration of public arts and music, the whole of the city of Augusta will be able revel in the legacy of the Hardest Working Man in Show Business, James Brown, with a free-to-all concert on Saturday, May 7th, 2022 from 5:00 – 11:00 PM at the Augusta Common in beautiful Downtown Augusta, GA.

This concert will feature Augusta favorites such as Funk You & Friends, J. A. M. P. (James Brown Academy of Musik Pupils), and Brownstown Gritty band as well as special guest DJs! This event will also host arts vendors and demonstrations, food trucks, a beer garden and more.

The Greater Augusta Arts Council and ALMA Presents have been working all year towards highlighting the Augusta Sculpture Trail with musical concerts featuring local musicians. This concert was funded, in part, by the National Endowment for the Arts through the GAAC as one final HURRAH for the Augusta Sculpture Trail. 

Guests of this event will be able to stop by the Greater Augusta Arts Council tent to vote for their top 3 favorite sculptures and in the process earn a James Brown art pin!
