Hi, I am Olivia Wahl the new Calendar Coordinator Intern for the Greater Augusta Arts Council! I am a rising senior at Georgia College, and I am perusing a degree in art. In my free time, I enjoy being out in nature and capturing its beauty on camera, reading good books, and romanticizing my life. I have been doing art as a hobby for as long as I can remember, and I thank myself every day for choosing to study what I love. If you would like to take a peek at what I do, check out my art on Instagram!
I am so lucky to have grown up in a town with an incomparable appreciation of the arts and to see the works of talented and inspiring creatives all around me. It is hard to pick a favorite piece of public art in Downtown Augusta, but if I had to choose, it would be the untitled mural of the sitting man with the birds and moon by Lee Ann Culver on 11th Street.
I decided to intern with Greater Augusta Arts Council because they do such amazing work to saturate Augusta with the arts and I was itching to play a part in that goal. I hope that through my work here at the Arts Council, I can share my love of the arts with others and help to continue the ever-growing enrichment of Augusta’s cultural identity.
