16 Jul “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” Show in City Gallery
Hosted by the Greater Augusta Arts Council, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle celebrates the creative potential of sustainability by showcasing local artwork created from upcycled and repurposed materials. Featuring works crafted by CSRA based artists, these pieces utilized reclaimed wood, discarded plastics, salvaged textiles, paper, found objects, and other recycled materials. The exhibition demonstrates how everyday items can be transformed into compelling works of art. Through their works, participating artists challenge viewers to reconsider what we throw away and the possibilities hidden within discarded materials.
More than an exhibition, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle encourages conversation about environmental stewardship and the role creativity can play in building a more sustainable future. By giving new life to materials that might otherwise become waste, the featured artists highlight the importance of conservation while inspiring audiences to rethink consumption and embrace innovative, eco-conscious practices. The exhibition will be on view in the City Gallery, located in the lobby of the Augusta-Richmond County Municipal Building, from July 17 through October 7, 2026, with a public reception on Friday, August 14, from 5:00–7:00 p.m.
Featured artists include billy s, Gabi Hutchison, Angelika Selman-Bondar, Bev Corder, Kelley Igo, Katie Kameen, Katayoun SarNesar, Heather René Dunaway and Krystal Kay Lyon.
