Two local filmmakers featured at Atomacon Short Film Festival
Two Augusta-based filmmakers were featured at the Atomacon Short Film Festival, held in Charleston, South Carolina on December 1. Jezibell Anat’s film “Miss Julie Don’t Like No Strangers” and Eric Poe’s, “Incubation Period” were shown as part of the festival’s first film highlights.
“Miss Julie Don’t Like No Strangers” was originally written as a play by Jezibell Anat and first performed during the 2017 Quickies Short Play Festival at Le Chat Noir and was adapted for the short film with assistance from Christopher Forbes and Taylor Gary. Eric Poe’s “Incubation Period” spotlights the director’s horror genre skill, and features special effects by Emily Schreiber and Brandon Woodward, who are also based in Augusta. Congratulations to these talented local filmmakers!
