2018 Quickies Short Play Festival Announces its Lineup!

Quickies, the annual short play festival hosted by Le Chat Noir, just announced its 2018 lineup. All plays will be written and directed by local CSRA residents. Congratulations to all the winning entries! Quickies will be hosted April 13, 14, 19, 20, & 21, 2018.

Show your support for the Signal Corps Band at Fort Gordon! Sign the petition today!

Since the Arts Council started the petition to show our community’s support for the Signal Corps Band at Fort Gordon, almost 500 people have signed. We believe the Band is an important part of the Augusta Arts community and we will share the results of the petition with our lawmaker and city leaders.

As one signer posted to the petition comments: “Bolstering Morale is indeed a very important part of taking care of the troops.” Now, the community has an opportunity to bolster the morale of the service people in the Signal Corps Band and share their importance to us as a community! Arts in the Heart Applications Open Soon!

Applications for participating in Arts in the Heart of Augusta will open soon! Fine Arts and Crafts applications open on March 1, and performance applications will open on March 15. Keep an eye out for announcements to be a part of this year’s festival!

Wet Paint Party & Sale, February 24 – We can use some helping hands to put on the Wet Paint Party & Sale, Augusta’s largest art party! Volunteers will assist the planning committee with event check-in, food & bar service, decor and more. Sign up online

Submit Exhibition Proposals for the Municipal Building Gallery

The Greater Augusta Arts Council has opened proposals for the Municipal Building Gallery for the 2018 and 2019 calendar year. Do you have a concept for a solo show, group exhibition, historic display or other type of exhibition you would like to show in the gallery space at 535 Telfair St.? Submit your proposal to the Greater Augusta Arts Council. A committee made up of artists, city representatives and community members will review the submissions for scheduling.       LEARN MORE.
