Assistant Professor of Art (Tenure-track)

The Department of Visual and Performing Arts at the University of South Carolina Aiken invites applications for a 9 month, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Art to begin August 16, 2018.  Requirements: Master in Fine Arts degree, at least 3-years college-level teaching experience, and a record of teaching effectiveness, service, and creative/scholarly activities.  The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in foundations, drawing, painting, and digital media (e.g., web design and digital illustration). The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to offer courses in their area of specialization.  The teaching load is 3/3.

Other responsibilities include providing service to the department, campus and community, participating in campus life and recruitment, and maintaining current scholarly/creative activities.
