Augusta University Art Show in the City Gallery

Augusta University Art Show – A Group Exhibition of Students, Alumni, Faculty and Staff of Augusta University in the City Gallery

Join the Greater Augusta Arts Council, the City of Augusta and Augusta University in celebrating AU creativity in the first showcase to feature works from multiple disciplines, degrees and decades of Augusta University students, alumni, faculty and staff. Featured in the City Gallery, located in the lobby on the first floor of the Augusta Richmond County Municipal Building at 535 Telfair St. Augusta, GA 30901.This group exhibition is on display from March 7 – May 9, 2024 with a lunchtime reception on Friday, April 26 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

The Greater Augusta Arts Council manages two gallery spaces in Augusta, GA. The City Gallery and the Augusta & Co. Gallery are two “local artists only” exhibition spaces where creators that call Augusta’s River Region home have the opportunity to display their works. This exhibition, however, sees work from graduates as far as Boston, MA who attended AU’s medical illustration program.

“As a graduate of Augusta ‘State’ University, I am so thrilled to see so many talented people still pouring out of my Alma Mater. Showing off their hard work in high traffic spaces really keeps artists motivated to stay in Augusta and continue their creative growth” says the Greater Augusta Arts Council’s Gallery Director Heather Dunaway.

This exhibition has more than 90 artworks by more than 30 artists. Featured artists include: Milledge Austin, Valeria Ballestero, Brian Alexander Berry, Yana Bondar,
Nina Boyd, Cody Bradley, Fox Si-Long Chen, Carol Cross, Nancy Davis, Hailey Dowdy, Clarissa Gainey, Tripp Gustin, Pattricia Guthrie, Gabryelle Harris, Emily Hogue, Katie Kameen, Sigrid Knemeyer, Patrick Krohn, Jen Lask, Rakiyah Lenon, Floe Maddox, Elizabeth McAdams, Susan McKew, Ranesha Nibbs, Gerry O’Meara, A.B.
