Happy 100th Birthday to the Imperial Theatre!

Congratulations to our friends at the Imperial Theatre on 100 years in the heart of downtown Augusta!

On Friday, February 2, the Imperial Theatre celebrated their 100th anniversary with “Cocktail Hour, The Show.” With all the new renovations going on in this historic theater, you won’t want to miss their upcoming season!

The Fat Saturday Pub Crawl is THIS SATURDAY, February 10!

You could win a bike this weekend and support the arts at the same time – Savannah River Brewing and the Arts Council are teaming up this Saturday for the  annual Fat Saturday Pub Crawl and there are some great prizes!

Passports go on sale at 4pm on Saturday, February 10, at the intersection of 11th & road St. Pubcrawl is 8-11pm.

PRIZES and FUN all night! The first 500 participants receive a free T-shirt, there will be free Trolley Rides  provided by SouthStar Trolley, and NO COVER at participating bars and restaurants with your Fat Saturday Passport all night. Participants who complete the Pubcrawl are entered into a drawing for awesome prizes provided by Beer Me Augusta – Drivable Coolers and even a bike!

We can still use a few more volunteers to help stamp participant passports, too!

Show your support for the Signal Corps Band at Fort Gordon! Sign the petition today!

Nearly 300 people have signed the petition the Arts Council started in order to show our lawmakers and representatives the community’s support for the  Signal Corps Band located at Fort Gordon.

As one signer posted to the petition comments: “Bolstering Morale is indeed a very important part of taking care of the troops.”

Now, the community has an opportunity to bolster the morale of the service people in the Signal Corps Band and share their importance to us as a community! Add your own signature today!

Party Like a Rockstar at the Wet Paint Party & Sale: FEBRUARY 24

Submit Exhibition Proposals for the Municipal Building Gallery

The Greater Augusta Arts Council has opened proposals for the Municipal Building Gallery for the 2018 and 2019 calendar year. Do you have a concept for a solo show, group exhibition, historic display or other type of exhibition you would like to show in the gallery space at 535 Telfair St.? Submit your proposal to the Greater Augusta Arts Council. A committee made up of artists, city representatives and community members will review the submissions for scheduling.       LEARN MORE.

Fat Saturday Pub Crawl, February 10 – Presented by Savannah River Brewing and the Greater Augusta Arts Council, the Fat Saturday Pub Crawl is a fun downtown tradition with awesome prizes supplied by Beer Me Augusta.
