Arts & Culture Mean Big Business in Augusta! Find out more at the Legislative Luncheon with guest Randy Cohen, November 9
Special guest Randy Cohen of Americans for the Arts speaking on the results of the AEP5 survey project
Registration is open for this year’s Legislative Luncheon, being held Thursday, November 9, 11:30-1pm at the Sacred Heart Cultural Center.
Guest speaker Randy Cohen will present on the results of the AEP5 – a national survey that shows the economic impact of the nonprofit arts industry. The results show – Arts & culture are big business in the CSRA!
The survey project, which was completed by the Greater Augusta Arts Council in 2016 in partnership with Americans for the Arts,show the nonprofit arts community in both Richmond and Columbia Counties generating nearly 58 million dollars in direct economic activity. This, in addition to other insights Cohen will provide, will be helpful information to anyone who supports the arts- it shows the economic benefit of investing in the arts in our community.

Everyone, please welcome our newest addition to the Arts Council Office, Ms. Emely Correa, the new Calendar Intern!
Emely is a first-year political science student at Augusta University, and we are happy to have her in the office! She will be helping us manage the Augusta Arts Calendar, which you can check out at events.augustaarts.com.
