23 May Call for Artists: Apply to be included on GCA’s Vibrant Communities artist lists, deadline June 15
Via gaarts.org- “This summer, Georgia Council for the Arts will offer the Vibrant Communities Grant. This grant will support arts programs in areas of the state that will not be reached by GCA’s FY19 Project, Partner or Arts Education Program Grants. The Vibrant Communities Grant will support all types of arts programs, including performances, exhibits, workshops, residencies, public art, readings, film screenings, arts festivals, etc.
To help applicant communities identify qualified artists, we will add a supplement to the guidelines which lists Georgia artists and arts organizations with programs that could be covered by the grant. Organizations that apply for the Vibrant Communities Grant are not required to use artists on the list, but it may help some communities find programs that would best serve their needs. Ideally, programs on the list would be able to easily travel to all areas of the state, cost under $7,500, and have minimal technical requirements. Artists and arts organizations that have been on the VC Artist List in past years must submit an Artist Form again this year. The deadline to apply is June 15, 2018.
